To that I say a base model 13” MacBook Air still costs $1,300. A spacious roof over my head means nothing if I can’t afford my quarterly allotment of Apple products.
I know Texas has some variety (but not like California), but I have 2 other issues with Texas.
1. Heat/humidity
2. Closed minded conservatives. I’ve gotten the earful from nebulae who lives in Dallas, or possibly lived because he’s always on the brink of moving to New Orleans to escape Texas.

1) no escape from the heat. the humidity is evil. add bugs.
2) see Austin. it might be the capital but it's far from conservative.
besides, i was raised in Texas and i'm far from a
conservative nut job.
you're stereotyping. it's too big not to have it all. way TOO BIG.

Don't worry, we've got plenty of closed minded liberals too.

If you're looking for a good sheet music viewer apps check out
ForScore.
It's $5/€4 but has a lot of features:
- Built in web browser: download PDFs, .mus (Finale) & IDK what else straight to the app. I accidentally downloaded a .mus (thought it was PDF) and it was very nice and sharp looking.
- Dropbox support
- Annotation, including musical symbols/create your own symbols from .png
- Works with ($100) bluetooth page turners
- Integrates with iPad's music library so you can link a song to a score
- Add metadata to scores and sort by composer/genre/difficulty/rating/date.
- Can remember crops/zooms so you minimise whitespace/maximise screen space
- Metronome
- You can create setlists, bookmarks & link within PDFs
- Fucking
versioning mothafucka
and lots of other stuff but most importantly SEPIA MAN!!! IT ADDS GRADED SEPIA TO YOUR EYE-BLINDINGLY WHITE SCORES TO MAKE THEM LOOK ALL AUTHENTIC AND SHIT!!!
Really pleasantly surprised - this could have been a glorified PDF viewer; they've made it the most well thought-out app I've seen for quite a while. Definitely a lot better than using iBooks with PDFs. It could possibly useful in its own right as a straight-up PDF annotator, honestly I haven't got around to that as there's so much useful stuff to play with.

Finally, someone's done it right with both iOS MIDI and Audio i/o in one device (now that we know how shitty the iODock is...) and I was hoping it would be these guys.

I can't read music notes at all. But that doesn't matter, since MIDI annotation is vastly SUPERIOR.

Wait, you can't read notation but you know that it's inferior?
MIDI "notation" is essentially derived from the old player piano technology (hence the "piano roll") but God help me if I had to sight read a player piano roll!

Goddam. You caught me off guard there.

The entire thing has collapsed with iOS5, and Alesis started blaming Apple instead of updating their shit BEFORE the release like every other developer did, lol. Not sure it's even been fixed yet. It got so bad that Alesis started to delete complaint threads in their forum.
Fuck me, I'm glad I came to my senses and remembered this was ALESIS before I nearly bought the thing.
