Just so you know the last few updates of Live 4 auto assign affinity to CPU 0 on start up so there is no need to bios disable hyperthreading when running Live anymore (just incase you didn't know) .

Note: I have just got this laptop for a few days and it really rocks! It's ultra slim, just 2.5kg in weight, has a very clear 1400x1024 15" screen, is very quiet and has a slightly better (?!) Ableton Live performance than my desktop AMD 64 3500+ (2.2GHz)... Built quality is also exceptionally good. Got a very good deal for this laptop in The Netherlands (1739,- euro on 7 april 2005)

It seems 2Ghz Centrino Pentium M systems have impressive performance.
Once I eventually retire my own Dell 5150 (Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 1Gb RAM) system I'll definitely be considering a Centrino based Pentium M system. This system scores around 26% to 27% with the bespoke performance test.
p.s. Hi there mister Fu !!!
Thanks for posting your spec ... and good to have you aboard!
Cheers
