It’s been reported that the app related economy has created over 400,000 new jobs since apps were invented. Yay for that and the economy! Name another industry/company that can claim the same.

you do realize that "app" is short for application and that all computers and OS's that are considered any kind of mainstream run applications. brickbreaker on your old Nokia with the turd green and black display... that was an app.

so as much as you want to give Apple credit here, they didn't invent the "app". sorry

on the other hand... they did invent the "app store" where 100,000 of those new jobs go to placing good apps and the other 300,000 are developing the same shit or just plain shit.

You should have started with “You realize an apple is a fruit that grows on a tree” because we both know we aren’t talking about those apples, the same way we aren’t talking about apps as an abbreviation for applications that date all the way back to the first consumer computer. Yes, Apple was the first to make an App Store and the first to make it possible for people to make a living from selling idevice Apps and is still the most successful. Even Android developers admit they make more money off the iOS version even after Apple subtracts their pound of flesh.

how about slavery........it must have created at least as many jobs... I think 'created x amount of jobs' is the catch phrase of the 21 century, politically correct and agenda were the catch phrases of the last century but now we've moved on. everything that creates jobs is not good, how about murder we never give murder enough credit for how many jobs it creates, especially in detroit....

All electronics go through the same manufacturing plants in China so it’s completely unfair to single out Apple. And it’s widely acknowledged that Apple has some of the highest labor standards in China with frequent audits and has even stopped doing business with suppliers because of repeated violations of Apple’s labor standards.

People are acting like these manufacturing plants are in a Communist country and aren't easily monitored by outsiders. OH FUCKING WAIT.

Some interesting stories and view points.

A must listen for any fanboy who also wants to know reality, and it's not all harsh news about Apple.

THEY ADDED A NET TO THE BUILDING TO PREVENT JUMPERS, THAT'S HOW FUCKED UP IT IS. Granted, statistically, it supposedly on the level.

A paranoid image conscious company would restrict outside access to upper levels.
