It kind of feels that way. On one hand, I'm glad they picked a new location, even though the whole arctic base thing was pretty cool and unique (except for The Thing, I know). On the other hand, the whole weird shit in the jungle thing feels a lot like Lost to me.

And really, f*ck Lost, that was the show that got my wife and I started on binge watching TV shows during the winter.

OT, One thing I really like about re-watching "helix" is the soundtrack and sick/twisted song placement (and the elevator versions  )

Just started season 4 of the Fringe marathon, though it's starting to get so repetitive that it's hard to keep going. Not sure why my wife likes this one so much :)

The Helix season premiere was interesting, a bit all over the place and doesn't really set up the second season as much as I would have expected. Still, looking forward to the next one.

No dude. It's good. I'm serious. The amount of totally nude, totally HOT Asian chicks in the 3rd and 4th episodes is award winning. john gordon is probably transfixed.

I started watching Helix but stopped after the 3rd episode. Does it get better? The writing seemed both great but also incredibly lazy.

Yeah, it gets better I thought, especially after the big twist that takes it beyond a straight up zombie redo.

Nothing to spoil, you'll see that in the first few seconds of the first episode. That's different from say... telling people what happens at the end of the last episode.

For instance :)

Yes, it’s shocking and unprecedented when a premium channel series kills off the main character in the last episode. :x

Or when a mysterious disease leads to zombies or vampires. :x

Google “nude Asian”.

You’re welcome.

I know that, but it also doesn’t make a series great by default. :x

I tried Marco Polo. It didn’t hold my attention and I found the acting subpar. But also it isn’t really a historical reference that interests me.

I think we’ve been reverse thumbing each other on the TV and movie recommends on here over the last week or so. This is a devastating development that can only be resolved through protests including the destruction of no less than 2 city blocks. :x

^

i've been watching Revolution :x

i know the acting is B at best and the cheese is laid on thick... but damn it! i am compelled to keep watching. almost done with season 2.

also, i started watching Agents of Shield with my son. it's a block of cheese, but there's still something really really good about it.

:?

i'm so confused. :x
