If they teach Pro Evolution then I'll see you there.

What evidence refutes god?

god is supernatural?

I find the idea of an anthropomorphized uppercase God like the God of Abraham to be somewhat silly... But i find the idea that there is no god even more outrageous. Who says words with your mouth? Just a mistake or coincidence built from a million random accidents to raise you from dust to a idea generating culture building being? God is not supernatural, it is the essence of nature. How can you take a breath and not feel god there? How can you play an instrument and not know god?

I don't believe in the kind of god that is watching your bedroom to see if you're doing something dirty. I don't believe in the kind of god that has human type likes and dislikes. I believe in the god that permeates every cell in your body, every blade of grass under foot, every drop of water. The god that reached out from across the eons and pulled us out of the animal body and into the reality creating beings that we are. The same god that will pull us out of this husk into an even more incredible future state. god exists, of that i am certain. but god doesn't want to redeem us from sin, god wants to liberate us from the small mindedness that even concieves of sin! Beyond property, beyond armies, beyond all of our petty desires and suffering. Can you hear god calling? are you brave enough to answer in earnest?

for anyone actually interested in the topic i filmed this video at a Student Arts Conference about click tracks.

Sacred loops is good to get some stuff and an idea for what is being made, but in a lot of ways i've found it simpler to create from scratch.

most of my click tracks are there to replace an instrument i wasn't able to find. Other than that, volunteer musicians can have a difficult time with the added "stress" of a click. Sad face, but that's wear we're at right now.

I'm doing an electronic week at the end of this month, and i'll probably distribute glow sticks at the door. Jesus Raves.

Could it be you simply do not understand science or the universe? We know perfectly well that we are not a result of "a million random accidents" (please read Climbing Mount Improbable). There has even been many recent studies on Musics effect on the brain, but i forget the books title.

I always get a feeling that the religious people do not understand science and more specifically science of the mind.

Sure there's more to the universe then we can conceive, but why would assuming some sort of 'creator' be a rational stance?

smooth move Buckwheat. there was no disrespect, now it's all blown up.

start a new thread if you want to debate religion, leave this thread to talk about music for their worship services, these rants are really not cool.

I never said anything about a creator.

I don't understand science on a high level, but i am not trying to refute science with god.

when i say "a million random accidents" i am being poetic, not scientific.

maybe you should read what i wrote a second time. maybe not.

when i check back on this thread, i want to read about someone who has ideas or needs help with implementing loops with a live band set-up.

i don't really want to hear everyone's "opinion" on this matter. Most of you who are posting have already made up your mind anyway.

All I'm saying is start a new thread so i don't have to check this one every five seconds and then have sad face when it's not about music.

Sorry the last two lines of mine were not directed at you LM, but the religious population in general.

Also i point out the "million random accidents" because its something fundamental to evolution that religious people get wrong all the time.

tough shit. the OP mentioned one of the most provocative topics in existance. it will always draw this sort of attention.

What if i started a thread saying i needed help using loops to score my soundtrack to a child pornography film. Do you think the replies would be about loops?
