actually, if we could have Live report a ton of sensible stuff in an organized manner (and faster than the LiveAPI) then I'm all over it :) I can hack together a midi-to-OSC patch in a few hours that'll work for me. The main thing is giving us access to the juicy bits in Live, and it looks like the times they are a-changing now.
Yes! Gimme access to the notes of a clip and information about plugins of a track (name, parameter names).... :D

Seriously, the Cycling 74 support crew is the BEST in the world, bar NONE! Close second place is the Ableton cats, of course :D

I had an issue with some weird graphics shit happening with my rig (IIRC) and Andrew (P, I believe) called me up and talked me through the issues, like a 30 minute support call FROM them, it was awesome.
But their potential helpdesk customer volumes just increased by 50,000 overnight ;)

Sorry, but i have to tell you this will not possible. There are technical reasons, why we could not implement info about clip details. / end of telling nonsense. The truth is:

You will be able to access notes of a clip. Now sit down a second and think what this wlll allow you to do...

i guess it means that for a MIDI clip you'll be able to dig inside it and do things to the midi notes.

hopefully you'll be able to generate them as well as manipulate them

MAX = MAX/MSP/Jitter.
Note access means: query, set, delete notes in a clip via MAX. means, set and delete notes via Hardware. means: Hardware like step sequencing. Means possibility to alter melodies etc. via a MAX patch. Means, create automatic bass lines. Means....

Can you all take a year off from work? You should!
