I dismantled it and sprayed the front panel gloss black.
A note to anyone considering spraying their KNK - Sand the shit out of it first.

I had a similar issue with my HP and its integrated webcam, so I just uninstalled the camera's drivers.
theres another way to solve this, but it requires going on a deletion rampage in the registry. long story short: it will fix the problem without uninstalling any drivers.
google is your friend.
