Simple basic fact. In western societies the overwhelming majority (much much much more so than percentage of population!), of the upper middle class and rich are white. These people hire the management etc. and in my experience 90% of the time they will hire white people. I'm well aware that in my line of work, a large percentage of people hire me because they think I'm like them etc. In a society that is less than 200 years away from slavery, and 50 years away from hardcore segregation, it's absolutely ridiculous to not acknowledge the simple basic advantage you have being white. Doesn't mean I'm kissing anybodies ass about it, people are people, some good some bad, but I'm sure as hell not going to complain if some black or native american gets some college money or a government job.
Paint it any way you want to, I've worked in the lower class for years, and management in labor jobs is decidedly biased towards white people. There really is no arguing this, and it's stupid as hell that people try to put a spin on it some way... There is no unfair advantage minorities have over whites, and it's absolutely retarded that the right is selling this bullshit to people like you.

Reverse racism is not as harmful simply because the minorities do not own the majority of the businesses that hire people. Say whatever you will, you cannot change that simple fact.

I'm Armenian, and I'm not demanding Turkey give me reparations for something their grandparents did to my grandparents. We've had time to get back on our feet since then.

As an aside, I also remember a time I was denied an application into a Magnet school based simply on the fact that they didn't meet their quota for minority students and couldn't accept any white kids until they did that. What the fuck is that shit?

What difference does that make? My grandparents did, they were there during that time, and we've had enough time to recover since. How long do you treat any race differently due to past actions before you determine its been long enough? You cant, that never ends, because by treating them differently you only continue to maintain an institution that creates race divides! Its a self defeating cycle!

You really need to spend some time in a small town B. I live in a town that is 80% Hispanic. The whites complain about the Hispanics: "they're lazy, sucking off our system." The Hispanics are the only ones working hard in this town. The white kids are on meth and electronica. The old whites are sucking away at medicare and social security, still penny pinching cause they can't let the friggin' depression go. The whites hate the Hispanics because they're Hispanic. The Hispanics hate the whites because the whites hate them for being Hispanic, as if they have much of a choice. The thing is, i just see more unjustified hatred from white people. actually they're more pink, down where I live. maybe in your evolved, educated realm things are different. But here, they haven't progressed much.
