I am also a Nuendo2.2 user. Difference between Live and Nuendo/Cubase for me is:
- with Nuendo/Cubase I need an engineer to operate it since I need to open windows, select stuff from list A, click on that, etc.
- with Live I can start working.

For some stuff Nuendo is nice but in general for composing and arranging I really like Live a lot better.

Btw I don't think Cubase's timestretching is sounding great. Live's algorithm is not as good as the competition anymore (ACID, Sonar) but I guess Ableton is working on it.

the future will be good ;)

cubase debate

Post by manukaontoast » Wed Mar 30, 2005 7:34 pm

Ive been using cubase for years now, its basically a sound studio application lets you record edit many tracks easily without too much fuss, live is way more creative and i think of it much more like an instrument. i still think that ill be using cubase to do my tracking and mixing. but never in a million years would i go onstage with cubase.

yes, I agree.

I am a Nuendo user also and with Nuendo I always feel I need an engineer to operate it will I am playing, while with Live I can do everything by myself.
