And this is why God has given women the super power of fucking you up emotionally with minimal effort.

Nah, it's your choice to give anyone power over you. The vagina isn't magical.

I do catch your drift. Butt it's a bit taint-ed.

I know several guys who cheated on their girl weekly but when she dumped them they became suicidal. It's really not something you have control over and you don't know the impact it will have until it happens.

During my marriage, we never had sex with other's without both of us present. That was the best part. It wasn't until she forbade me to do it any longer that I started doing it outside of the marriage. It is my nature. After a couple years of really trying to change, I realized I am what I am.

Know thyself and relish it!

I don't think any relationship will stand the test of time when there's a "and always accept my addiction" clause attached whether it's alcohol, drugs, gambling, or sex…basically anything that has a dark side as well as it's fun side. I think anybody that accepts this at the offset sees it as intriguing to exciting but eventually it just gets old and they assume it will for you too. But women also see men as their favorite crafts project so it's really no surprise when they agree to something that outsiders might see as retarded or totally out of character.

Agreed. But, I take issue with you calling my behavior an addiction. It's a life style choice. The AMA, and Psychiatric Association also disagree with you:

It was just removed from the DSMIV:

So, I won't blame my behavior on some mysterious weakness. I choose and enjoy it my friend. 8)

Peace!

I'm just assuming in the beginning you considered marriage sacred even with your addendum but at some point you chose your lifestyle choice over your partner. That's probably safe to say that's an addiction by most people's definition that you could easily slap -aholic to the end of.

A lot more guys would probably enjoy the same lifsetyle if they could actually pull in the tail or lower their standards to accomodate such a thing.

But I'm not judging you. There's probably people on here that would choose this forum over their partner, or at least incessantly think about it if taken away.

I guess the difference between you and me is that I choose to be true to my nature over sacrificing my own happiness to please another. I will always be true to myself over any other and I respect those who can do the same.

We all die alone. And, when its time for that big film of my life to flash before my eyes, I want to enjoy that movie. Not demand a rewrite! 8)

It's not really me against you here. I'm wagging my finger at you on behalf of society but high fiving on behalf of those of us who frequently let society steer our ship into the harbor of shared misery.

But if you really want to be my hero you'll be like Hunter S. Thompson and shoot yourself in the head when your lifestyle is no longer physically possible. :)

I can tell you from a very personal place that every marriage is different. It really saddens me when people impose their views or standards on others. This happens frequently in society. And often, standards change, so even though Tod's marriage was ok for a while, they diverged later. Happens all the time.

I don't think there's any right or wrong in it. I also don't think it's an addiction by any means. It's simply a choice to adhere to a particular standard. That's it.

I think we're taking the term addiction too literally and seriously in this thread. Picture it more like when you're out with your friends drinking and yelling "I'm a total alcoholic, woot!", or in this case "I'm a total sex addict!"

But I also think in general women hook up with men hoping they'll change and men hook up with women hoping they'll never change, and then both fail on that assumption, and then here we are.
