I got stuck in it on the way home from work, all traffic lights were shot, knee deep flooding everywhere and baseball sized hail stones (I missed them though). People were literally going 10km/h in 70 zones and lightning was striking left right and centre! Pretty intense..

I have a MOTU ultralite, the previous model (not mk3), and it sounds great and is very dependable with their latest drivers and also with ASIO4ALL, and the CueMix app that comes with is good to set up your mix if you have several inputs.

also have a TC electronics konnekt 8, and I like the sound of it and it has a nice config tool that checks for drivers and firmware. I had some problems with the drivers early on (got it when it first came out) but very solid now.

a tangent, about that storm...

sorry to hear this, it is good you are ok. I was 'partially struck' by lightning, it struck nearby and it felt like being grabbed around my legs by a huge set of angry pliers lined with wasps.

I've been irrationally terrified of electrical storms ever since. so in that situation I'd have stopped the car and gone catatonic.

+ 1

the app is clean. and the DSP latency checker that it comes with is cool.

I like the way the interface looks and feels on my konnekt6. Definitely my best feeling and best sounding mixer config so far. Some one mentioned another TC model that didn't feel sturdy to them... mine is solid. fwiw

Devils advocate here, get the RME.

or get a used MOTU interface and the Black Lion Audio mod. <-- That's what I would do.
