You may find this surprising, but the vast majority of our users don't hang out on the forums.

There are artists using Live 8.x in clubs, theaters, etc who have absolutely no problems. Ever. We know this because they tell us and because we go to their gigs.

The experience of some people in this forum - including yourself - may not match this. But this is hardly an indication that we're being dishonest or trying to cram PR nonsense down your throat.

@ carlosjhzapien

well, i personally can't blame myself i do not 'promote' ableton enough in a positive way, but i get angry with lies and all i ask for is honesty, i can't stand trained on professional business lying, also often refered to as PR. (maybe it is because my girlfriend is / was in PR and i know to good how it really works)

peace.

it is still an awesome company with an awesome product. and it should stay that way.

This is true. I played a lesbian bar in 2006 using Live 5. Dennis was there. Though she was going by Denise back then.

It was half-price drink night. I'm not going to let something as simple as biology get in the way of a bargain.

hahaha That's the best LIVE show I've ever seen! - Exactly us in 40 years after going broke for buying all the Ableton controllers and releases that come out and then one day not being able to use them at all as the company just decides it's had enough with whiney customers LOL...

The updated quality post now links to the original.

Best,

mmhhmm yeah, ok, maybe a bit little, a bit late?

what were your reasons for not including something along these lines as usual?
You might wonder how this update relates to the bug-fixing phase that has been announced recently viewtopic.php?f=1&t=132761.
The upcoming 8.1.3 update addresses many issues but is not yet the final result of our special bug-fixing efforts.
We cannot yet tell when those will be released but we'll keep you informed.

All the bugs in 8 just made me realize how content I am with 7. It's been so long since I revisited 8 that I can't even think of 1 feature in 8 that I want/need. So I'm more than happy sitting on that investment until the general consensus is that it is a monument to stability. But just on principle I would be a little put off if they start venturing into new add-ons or more collaborative work before this happens.

don't get me wrong, it is good to see you listening to feedback so swiftly.
I meant why was it not there, and obviously there from the beginning.

The Quality statement was quite reassuring when it came out.
8.1.2 taking so long was a bit weird, but no biggie.
Finding the Quality statement gone, and 8.1.3 in its place 8O
and no info on how one relates to the other.
way to spell transparency. or trust.

but I can be a nitpicker like that. And I'm hungry...

I don't see release notes.... Do we finally have time stretch in simpler/sampler? (after having been acknowledged and 'Planned' by Ableton like 2 years ago!)
