If you'd read the original Dark Horse comic that Predator 2 was loosely based on, you'd retract your post and beg to lick my asshole in forgiveness.

P2 had some respectable action sequences, and the Alien skull at the end was a nice touch, but the acting, dialogue, editing, overall story, and Ruben Blades were fucking DREADFUL.

Okay, Gary Bussey was a treat, but isn't he always?

its pretty good. keep in mind the original wasnt a five star movie - more a guilty pleasure. they both mark a 3.5 out of 5.0.

Meh! you shouldn't judge action or Sci Fi movies on a ratings system with drama or other types of films. For an action movie Predator was a solid 4 out of 5 IMO. That's pretty hard to do I think.
Hard Boiled and Dirty Harry being solid 5's.

exactly, because if Alien3 had been the first, then the franchise would have become better and better, instead of crappy and crappier.

Alien is the best. If you want an action movie Aliens is better, but it's not fucking scary at all. The first one is, period. The set design for the alien ship and the alien costume itself in the first one is more detailed and extreme. The whole feel of the movie is creepy. I loved Aliens as well, but I'll never get why people like it better, it's not. Alien 3 was good, it definitely died in 4 though.

Nah. I was never a comic book nerd, so I had no base for comparison. I just fucking loved P2. Probably more of a nostalgia thing than anything else... or maybe it was so bad that it was just great. Whatever the reason, still my fave Predator flick, followed by the first one.

The new one was alright, but it didn't really get me THAT excited or anything. Not like Inception. Now THAT was a fucking flick.

Predators came out yesterday in Holland saw it on the first day. LOVED IT.
Unpretentious, jungle, alien creatures, guns action! Loved the gritty look of it too. GREAT.

I thought I loved P2 also. Hadn't seen it literally since it was in the theatre, so I rented it about 5 months ago. Yikes. I still dig it, but it was almost painful to watch in spots.
