Im also very careful with k+b compression though. Rather commonly use it on my tracks to create a temporary placebo master. If its a rough mix, but I want to add some omph for the DJ set, etc.

What you really need is chuck norris. Layer a recording of his punch over his kick, it'll reach +36dB without clipping. It'll be so punchy listeners will instantly get knocked down to the ground.
