@beats me ...please reassure me ...i hope you have understood that i was talking about logic pro ( but cubase full edition too ) otherwise im a bit sad for you : to compare logic express and the live full edition its a bit weird no ?

 ok you like playing with details :"..for all users" maybe i should tell :" for all full version owners."

@3phase :for me its for the principle : because in lot of daws nowadays this kind of plug is included for free and for all full version's owners its just that !

tschuss !

Nobody is holding a gun to your head to use Live. Go buy those other DAWs if you're so unsatisfied...

The logic in this thread is hilarious though, so keep up the whining boys.

thats indeed smart ..because once you was 8 there was no way back, thanks to the twice a year changing fileformats of Abelton..

however.. since 8.14 the thing seems to be pretty stable again... but its a bit earlie to rely on that

Hitler gave away free plug-ins indiscriminately, look where that got us.

I'll make it simple

Logic Express = Live
Logic Pro = Live Suite.

Some people are filing complaints that they don't get certain things or fully functional things when they only own Live and not Suite. It's no different than the differences between Logic Express and Pro.

are you serious ? 8O

maybe you should compare logic express and live intro no ?

and a full studio version from live or logic is a full studio version no ?
IMO the price should show the logic(ah ah) to follow...

the problem is that the concept "suite " dont exist in the logic's world so how can you compare it with the full logic studio version ?

maybe im wrong somewhere so if its the case excuse me for that !

peace !

Just to clarify, the "special thank you to Live 8 users" refers to the instrument and effects racks that feature Amp and Cabinet, which come with both Live 8.2 and Suite 8.2 and are free to owners of both. The difference is that, for owners of Live 8.2, these racks are locked.

Logic Express and Live are perfectly comparable, main difference being missing instruments, libraries, and effects. Other then that there's not really any functional differences. Sorry Apple didn't release 2 more watered down and limited versions of Logic but they didn't. Your thinking is take the flagship version of the software and then take the least featured version and compare which may serve your view but isn't an accurate comparison. Logic Express is nowhere near as limited as Live Intro or Lite.
