Seeing that you would even ask about choosing between Maschine and Komplete in the first place and not knowing where to start with Komplete, I agree that Maschine would have been the wiser choice at this point. I guarantee that you wouldn't have asked where to start if you got it instead. That's where Maschine's advantage with its famous intuitive efficient workflow would come into play. And especially since you want to do minimal techno, you couldn't find a more perfect fit than Maschine and its tactile step sequencer. But fear not, Komplete is definitely not a wasted purchase if you're committed to learning all its deep tools and features, and Maschine can be found for very cheap used in like-new condition.humnumb wrote:Like most of us said, you should have gotten Maschine first. You'd already be making music and having fun instead of being daunted at what to do next.v0ins315 wrote:Now that I have Komplete, I don't know where to start..
This might be a stupid question, but can someone recommend which instrument would be most useful for producing techno/minimal? I'm sure all of them are extremely useful, but I want to start learning/using an instrument that would suit my style the best.
Maschine or Komplete 7?

Also... some of us Maschine users are secretly hoping that NI will allow Maschine to host vst plugs... meaning one could run Komplete up in that biatch. That would be some fun.

if you had a super computer
before maschine gets anything more than more sample editing and song construction features they need to seriously optimize which they've done already so I don't what but maschine packs a wallop
