"core architecture rewritten" . Really?
Think of that like asking for an "experimental skeleton transplant"

Reborn to dedicated pure live perfomance software, that'll be the future for 'Live'.

As long as they add OSC (and custom OSC mapping belong MIDI and KEY on the up right corner), then I'm happy.
64 bits so we don't have memory problems will be nice too.

it is almost only a month to Christmas and still not any hints of Live9, not even beta testing begun, nothing. Are they really going to miss the Christmas sales?

It would be really nice to hear some official word, even an estimate when it might be published and the most important changes that there will be from Live8. Will there or wont there be a better and more stabile support for VSTs?

I don't know how many times I've posted this but in order for them to make Ableton Live 64-bit they have to redo almost ALL of the code

and I assume if they want to stay competitive that is whats happening. It is just something in the way the code is written. Search the site for answers about memory and you will see someone saying that form ableton.

In the arrangement view ? Like what ? What I miss the most s definitely a decent set of MIDI editing features ...
how about automation?
not sure about you, but i don't personally appreciate having to drag my automation track down vertically into a huge piece just to be able to math my current automation point to my previous one via controll-dragging and extreme zooming to get it just right.
try doing that 800 times. fun stuff, that. -.-
