Ok Ok :)

Image
If iPhoot does that - WITHOUT ANY FUCKING FINGER DANCE OF ALT/COMMAND/F/ or whatever, then please show me.
Are you on iPhoto 11? As on older versions IIRC that was possible, if set up correctly. Besides the slideshow part. :x Have to check that...

iPhoto - Preferences - General:

- Double click Photo: Edits Photo

- Edit Photo: Using full screen

Image

So with double-click or return: go into event -> go fullscreen & back into event & back into events. Works fine here with just arrow keys and Return or doubleclick.

http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/25617/cocoaslideshow ???

Cmd-F for fullscreen - Space to start slideshow - Esc to go back. No thumbnails, but you can drag folders on it.

 http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/18735/phoenix-slides

Drag an image onto the app icon -> slideshow with all images within that folder immediately starts fullscreen. Only con so far: doesn't remember the "subfolders" (Cmd-F) setting. :x

If you drag an folder on the app's icon, slideshow doesn't start immediately & there's no shortcut for "Start slideshow", but you can create a shortcut in systempreferences-keyboard, as there's a menu entry.

If your Dock is already crowded, Cmd-drag the app's icon in your Finder-window's titlebar-> always there to drag stuff onto it.

:x Edit: Phoenix Slides, though working fine, is HAMMERING system.log with messages. :x :x :x :x Too old???

I do own and use - every day - 3 PC workstations; all with XP. Love em, actually.

I'm just about to get a dual hex core HP Z800 as well (possibly dual octo, if they make them available with their new workstation line next month). :P
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

Exactly. Make no mistake: I'm an Apple fanboy. But one who happens to love a lot of shit on the PC side. The Win7 64bit environment? Unbeatable in terms of the processor and RAM efficiency when dealing with things like the entire Abode suite. It's incredible how even now you can find side-by-side benchmarking tests for Photoshop and After Effects, and the Win OS always smokes the MacOS in speed and efficiency.

But all in all I like the MacOS and total Apple/iTunes integration philosophy over anything on the PC side. And Macs continue to have much smoother MIDI integration and flexibility. It's a cliche, but I also relish not having to deal with a myriad of anti virus / anti spam programs on the Mac side, lol. What a fucking pain in the ass that continues to be on the PC end. :x

I am liking Win7, though. It's very tight. Don't do any audio/MIDI with it, really, but it seems better than XP (which I've long been a fan of....). :P
