Yeah Audio to Midi track swap is simple, just replace them, however they need to be full tracks for the loopin g to work as the device wont see inside a grouped track....

For an entire grid of Isotonik buttons you should check out Oktopad, i'm unlikely to make Isotonik full width on the APC40 with this version as it's pushing the boundaries of getting up to 10% cpu as it is....

I've got a Max device in the making called Album, i'm just working on the instant euphoric trance settings at the moment ;-)

Cheers

Great news on the midi swap. I must try the octopad but I like the faders on the apc40 and the encoders. Cheers!

Updated the Lite device, added the clip nudge and Global Clip Launch Quanitze functionality and an option that when using the Track Sselect buttons to focus on the waveform of a clip playing in a track it will also relocate the RedBox so that the clip itself is in the centre of the grid, used it extensively and find it's really useful, i'l update the main device to include this shortly...

Updated the links on the website...

And thanks to Jean-Lou Nivard we've also got a French version of the manual!

Going back in the lab, gotta few ideas bubbling around...

First will be bringing the ability to jump around your set repositioning the redbox when focusing on a clip thats playing in a track when using the Track Select buttons...

Second will be bringing some shiftable functionality to the cue knob, leaving the default functionality in place but also offering tempo control to start, which asks the question what do people have the cue knob midi mapped to??

Sound sweet - can't wait for the two new features :-)

It would be nice if you implement a new scene allowing to jump within the track (similar to the current nudge feature):
The idea is that you can use the clip launch buttons for the track to jump for -8 -4 -2 -1 / +1 +2 +4 +8 beats in the currently playing track
I really miss such feature for live jumping within the track...

Tomorrow sees digitaldjtips.com publish our first ever article, it's been written to explain how M4L can bridge and exceed the Gap between ableton and traditional DVS like Serato and Traktor!

Hope you like it!

Hi Darren
Finally I'm getting around to customising version 8 and I'm trying to change tracks 4 and 5 to midi tracks. However the record arm buttons no longer control the last two sends to access the Isontonik effects. Any ideas?
Thanks

edit- it's working again as it should (i.e. the sends are changing) but the record enable button is coming on too.

edit- Ah I see I just have to set the input routing to none

I'll have to have a look at it next week, saving your template and reopening it should eridicate the issues though?

I did Darren Thanks! I'm liking the version 8 set up (over version 7) so far. It's taking a bit of getting used to but I trust your instincts.

I've got a much better grip on it now. I love the changes you made to the slicer scene, the crazy possibilities are flowing!

I have it thanks.

It's epic.

I'm even considering bolting an APC20 onto my APC40 and using it alongside my own template. May I say the effect racks created for Isotonik are far and away better for live EDM performance than anything included with Live.

Spoogetasticly awesome ;)
