One thing i can't figure out tho.... How exactly does osc synch work? It doesn't behave how i expected and can't really figure out what it does.
thanks,

Hi leisuremuffin,
this feature is not fully working right now.

But in the near futur the Sync should work like this.
1. OFF - No oscillator sync at all. Like with analog synth the oscillator phase is continuous. (working)
2. KEY - On note on the oscillator phase is set to a value set by the PHASE parameter. (working)
3. OSC - The oscillator phase is set to a value set by the PHASE parameter if the internal sync oscillator is crossing zero. This is also known as hardsync. (not jet working)
Have fun,
stiwi

"Failed to locate Audio Unit "Automat". Is the message.
I can see in in the Pluggin browser, but get this message when I drag it into a track. The previous version works thou..

Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem...I'm able to open 0.1.6 though
I'm on a 1.67PB 2G Ram OSX.3.7 and Live 4.0.4
Hi ab and orage,
are you sure you put the Automat.component into the components folder and not the folder containing it? The downloaded folder is named "Automat_0.1.7" and contains two files. "alphakanal -- automat.webloc" and "Automat.component"
Let me know if that helps,
stiwi

edit: and yes, i put the right file in the right folder...
thanks for a great synth...

ah but did you put automat.component in the components folder? or did you put the automat FOLDER (that the .zip automatically unarchives itself to) in the components folder.
this seems to be the mistake people are making.
when you download automat, theres a folder containing the component and a weblink. many people are putting this FOLDER in their au components folder, not knowing that its not the actual component.

yeah, made that mistake yesterday too, but since then i put the component in the correct folder. no luck...
when trying to drag automat to a midi track, i get the 'failed to locate...' message. after clicking 'ok', Live crashes...

Hi Stiwi...
here there's another fan of your synth... I'm enjoying a lot 0.1.6, today I tried to use 0.1.7, draged the componet in (library>audio>plugs in>components) and deleting 0.1.6, live did recognize it with no problems, I could even use your presets and mine as well... but from Live's plugs in window, because when I try to open the automat interface for tweeking it just open a little empty square...
Just my 2 cents. And, well, just thanks for sharing a GREAT synt with everyone... mate I love its sound!

Automat version 0.2.0 is ready 4 download. Let me know if it runs on all systems now. The "Component not found" bug should be fixed"
The good news is that i fixed some bugs and added some features. The bad news is that i had to changed some parameters too, so that you have to update your presets in order to sound right. Please read the document which is included in the download.
Enjoy,
stiwi

Nice job.
I really love this synth.
There is still a nasty bug though. S
On random occasions, when i press on a preset mod envelope. It will turn of the audio. A workaround for this is to delete automat from your track (now you have your sound back)
Then you press undo to get the automat back.
Cheers
