Vercengetorex was the king of the Gallic tribes. He faced Julius Caesar and his vast Roman armies as is chronicled in Caesars own writings, De Bello Gallico, and Caesar revered him as his greatest advisary on the battlefield.

Good question

Credo is latin, meaning 'I believe'.

Its also what the ancient church creeds are called (Nicea 325 AD. etc.)
Because that what each part of the confession begins with in latin.

Credo is the way Im living.

I was doing a lot of minimal stuff and the stupid IDM fucknut name I had was tiring me out.

Cathode Ray Tube

So I lost that and went by my own name

Charles R. Terhune

Kind of cuz UI wanted to be like Richard H Kirk. but I'm not.

So I discovered Brittney Sparse...

Hummm.. Complex answer to a simple question.

As a kid I was called "the Gautch" (pronounced so as to rhyme with coach). It was a play on my family name at the time, and I took it with me when I started a rap crew in Junior High back in '87.

Yah, I guess that we were old school back when we still thought we were new school.

Anyways, the infusion of racism and the worship of idiocy that infiltrated into the rap world heralded by the 'West Coast Gansta' influence drove me away, and I gave up music for a few years. When I got back into it, I started making Dutch style gabber in the late 90s (ya, i was behind the times, but what the hey - good music is timeless!)

Anyways, I was named "evilgenius" by a friend who was an acid freak and mushroom eater; I freaked him out on numerous occasions, as I was an amateur pholosopher and conspiracy theorist at that time in my life. So, evilgenius stuck when I played music too.

However, that name was soon appropriated by dozens of others - a band in Toronto, one of eminem's posse, and a hoard of others. I decided that NOBODY could steal my real name from me, so I started playing under my real name instead.

Montrealbreaks was a spur of the moment decision when I registered on this forum, since I have a personal policy to never put my real name on the internet. In fact, I use a different user name for each form and email address, for security purposes really... Naturally, this makes online self promotion of my music difficult, so I am currently considering using a handle again.

I don't really like the name Montrealbreaks, but I think I will go back to "The Gautch" or perhaps "M. Bréqs" instead... Haven't decided yet.

I have changed my username; Now posting as:

M. Bréqs

When I signed up for an e-mail-address my real name was already given to someone else, so I had to find an alternative. The night before I had seen a concert from Johnny Zabala, a blues singer. So I named myself Pepe Zabala, I liked the sound of the name.

Later I found out that Pepe Zabala was one member of the basque liberation army ETA. He was killed by a secret police-unit and his body was found years later near Almeria, close to where the Doors recorded "waiting for the sun". When the spanish people found out about the secret police it was a big scandal, which led to change of government etc.

A different Pepe Zabala was shot in Columbia because he was a human rights activist.

Now I am a little scared.

book of the dead

Post by psychonaut » Fri Mar 25, 2005 10:24 pm

in 96 when i started getting booked often enough to secure a handle, i took out the Tibeten Book of the Dead. A very long book explaining in detail how to die and be reborn. I flipped through the book like a deck of cards and put down my finger. It landed on "psychonaut" meaning mind explorer.

worked out great, being that my music and dj'ing style were a bit on the psychadelic side.

Years ago and I mean years ago I was trying to get the AOL username machine and it kept suggesting machine609 and it kinda had a ring to it. I have had it at least since 96 or 97.

A bump, don't let me ruin the nice thread, but:

makes me nervous. Like it but it feels like it's gonna be an infinite, recursive loop. The "every" would include the opposite and the result until every second shakes to pieces...
