Romney Vs. Obama -----------the Debates
Re: Romney Vs. Obama -----------the Debates
Hmm, seems like Romney is keen on a proxy war with Iran in Syria.
Those things always work out nicely. See the reason people go about attacking embassies burning the stars and stripes etc, is big 2 wars wasn't quite enough. Another one or two and people will realise just how great the west is.
Seriously, he could have at least pretended to want to help get rid of Assad because of how he's treated his people. Things are going to get very ugly if this man gets in.

A few months ago I may not have even been all that against it, but this one is turning into a real nasty civil war.

Came across this article yesterday. That pretty much seals the deal for me, not that I really had any investment in politics, but I think even George Dubya would look at him funny.

Re: Romney Vs. Obama -----------the Debates
Latest whiner reporting from foxnews is that left leaning media is downplaying how well Romney did during the debate. I dunno. Seems to me that most of the left leaning media and libtards pretty much admitted Obama blew it.
But probably per usual foxnews feels that performance victory should in no way be tarnished by fact checking or demand for specifics after the fact. Any attempt at a debate between both parties on foxnews should have the side representing Rebuplicans putting their fingers in their ears while chanting “La la la la la, not listening. La la la la la la, can’t hear you.”

...i think there will be cause for laughing asses off when biden vs ryan...10 to 1 odds biden gets served, he barely squeeked past palin, a mental oompa-loopa compared to ryan (who i would never vote for no matter what)
Re: Romney Vs. Obama -----------the Debates
I watched that doco on Obama "great expectations" last night about his first term and how he started on day 1 with all these massive grand plans and executive orders and then the rest of the episode was about how once the reality set in of how it all worked they just kept failing one after another. It more or less seemed to say the health care bill was the only thing he succeeded in and it was the main reason nothing else worked.
So I had a moment where I wondered if he really did mean everything he said at the start, but got in to discover the president basically can't do shit and just decorates the oval office going grey pushing shit up the hill against corporations and congress.
Then I remembered that he signed the NDAA into effect, which is pure evil.
I think the US presidential race is really coke vs pepsi

First Latina supreme court justice
Healthcare
And more...................
How did those things slip by you?
What about this fact....... The reason the president has an up hill battle as you described is not because of healthcare as you say the film subscribes to but instead it's do to the republican party leaders getting together before he even got started and deciding that they were going to stop this black man in his tracks!
Chronologically this happened before any reasoning the film eludes to.
Add to this that most of the people at that meeting were Birthers and that since Obama has become president they all have voted down their own legislation that they themselves have authored whenever the president supported their ideas................
Do the films about Obama really have the power to erase that much reality?
Based on what they want to do to women and minorities I don't think they are as much alike as I used to.
Re: Romney Vs. Obama -----------the Debates
oh no, I think I misrepresented it - the people saying all this were his staffers - they were more putting forward their side of the story and admitting where they had all failed to achieve what they wanted to. The republican opposition was definitely talked about.
Also, it was ep. 1 of a series, so there is more coming, this one was just leading up to the mid-terms
Personally I was more coming from a point of view of total cynicism where I gave up on any sense of democracy years ago, so in a sense it was nice to suspend that for a moment and think that he really did mean everything he said and just discovered the reality of it when he got in. I definitely think that could be the case. They campaign on all the things they'd like to do, but once they get in they discover it's just a big pile of shit they have to wade through and more about trying to swim rather than sink.
But that NDAA would have me really worried if I lived tehre, and he did sign it.
