OMG!!!!!!
I just can't believe it... the crosfade... the new pitchshift algo... redux... gate... it's a dream
It just seems much more "heavier" on CPU but whith more ram it will be heaven.
Ableton's crew... your work is magic!

output volume is much lower on live2. if i open up old live volume is twice as loud as the output in live2. Is this on purpose?

Hi Twelve, this is just a bad default for the now user-adjustable output gain for the output busses: check out the Bus View.

Performance went from 4% on 1.5.2 to 8% on 2.0b1 when doing nothing, i.e. when Live is simply open!
I hope that's just debugging code from a beta version...

I think that more than anything, with a 2.0 release, I was looking for things that really made it 2.0 code, things I just couldn't do with 1.x. They've succeeded. They've got my upgrade cash.

Nice. I currently run v1.5 under OS9 and v2 is my first experience of Live under OSX.
One question - can you not map a MIDI controller to the crossfader ? Seems odd.
At the moment, I play VSTi's into Live via Ugly VSTi shell (using ReWire). Does anyone know of a similar application for OSX ? It's the only thing keeping me in OS9 at the moment, as most of my favourite VSTi (except Absynth!) are now available as OSX versions ....
cheers
