if you read the FIRST post, it's all there really. no need for als, just read it. it's not like the utility plugin has a lot to fiddle with. turn to one side -> mono; the other side-> stereo. that's it!

Drag a song into live

add the utility plug to the track

turn the width knob to 200%

No need for an .als

I was aware of Phase Cancellation, but not via the width method until i saw this thread and Ive had a good time listening to lots of music recently via width set at 200% to see if i notice any new about said tracks.
One thing that struck me was that listening to some pieces sounded alot more interesting than others, discovereing new sounds you dont notice otherwise. Whereas other just sound really boring and lacking something. It usually tends to be (what Id consider) better producers tracks that sound more interesting than others, one producer in particular. So this obviously means that theres much more attention paid to stereo (or left/right) detail by some producers over others. Ive started getting into the habbit of sticking a utility on my master and monitoring tracks at 200% everyso often so see how stereo stimulating they are, and then trying to improove said stereo image. Is this a bad habbit to get into though, should I just judge a track by its pure summed image, or by both??

(apologies if none of that makes sense, im pretty tired and have a feeling it wont )

probably not the best way to judge...

but ive been using it as a dj tool for mashups and bringing tracks into the mix and it works wonders.

mainly cause in anyother program youd have to process it to get the sound
