I read about many famous top pro DJs and producers that use ableton and I want to be famous pro too.

workflow here too

I started off with a program called Project 5. Development stopped on that program and Live was the next closest thing. Abes have clearly paid attention to workflow IMO. Lots of commonality in key commands across different contexts. Very intuitive, elegant gui that doesn't get in your way but allows you to get to what you need to quickly. Basic things are very easy, like routing midi and audio between tracks. For me, this all adds up to a tool that is both a daw and a big old sampling workstation on steroids. For me, all of this adds up to fertile space for creativity.

FWIW, I used to use Sonar for mixing/mastering, so I have an experience to contrast Live with. Won't run down what I don't like about Sonar here, but my views of Live were certainly in part formed by having that contrasting experience.

Because of its happy-go-lucky and overwhelmingly positive user-base.
