It seems that the MAVEN controller must include a build in sound card if it is connected to mixer directly.
yep, that's how you do it. I parted an M-Audio Audiophile Firewire and designed it into my Midibox Ableton controller.
ok, its official, Sasha is an idiot. You dont play live audio with wireless shit. Thats a sure fire way to get less than the best from a system. Bluetooth is a drain on everything, and hes touring with it...I cant help but laugh heartily.
sometimes you take the lesser of two evils. Since bluetooth uses a fast-frequency scanning method there's less likelyhood for interference. The likely hood of pulling on the mouse and disconnecting it is is probably a greater issue (unless of course someone brigns a microwave oven to the show and plugs it in 5 feet from sasha's setup).
I thought 'side-fill' was a historical name from the 70's rather than technically describing the positioning. It is more acurately 'X-stage' I think
maybe you're also thinking of quadraphonic

Call me Cap'n Obvious . . . but, it'd be excruciatingly absurd to use mouse / keyboard for performance / parameter control in Live when you've got a massive piece of hardware custom-designed, not just to the program, but to one's own specific usage of Live. Handy for loading files and the like though.

some people do in fact know what they're talking about
er, yeah.

apart from there seems to be a distinct misunderstanding of phase relationships in audio waves and the way that waves propagate through air which is resistantly wrong!

audio waves dont 'push and pull' together or other wise, they are areas if high and low pressure, both of which are greater than the ambient atmospheric density. Two opposing wavefronts will produce interference effects whatever the phase. The idea that switching the polarity of one oposing wave generator will cancel these interference peaks and troughs is absurd!

Sorry to resuscitate this topic but do you have an idea why lately Sasha is always seen with a Xone 92 instead of the requested Xone V6?

Well the Xone V6 is difficult to hold of to, but I doubt that event managers that book him do not have a couple hundred bucks spare to rent a Xone V6.

Thanks for letting me know in case you know anything.
