Turn off indexing

Nope. Just a normal library. An SSD

If indexer is running when I try and load a song the status bar at the bottom of the interface creeps along, the one that says “loading samples “ or whatever it is. That sample loading process will take about 5 minutes UNLESS indexer stops by itself or I kill the indexer process ... then the status bar will suddenly zip to 100%

So I usually just kill it if I need to load a song.

I have no confidence in support on this one.

I looked in the Windows Resource Monitor, to see which files cause the indexer to take so much cpu and time.
I found out, it was ableton's automatically created song backup files, which made it take so long.
I then just moved those 200 files out of the indexed folder and now the indexing is almost instant.
