I just like learning about features on programs! In my world they can easily coexist. But I'd probably only use Bitwig as a trial/demo.
Unless it gets multitouch overlays.

Cant you just put a vst crossfader on the master, or a bus? If that is all thats holding you back it shold be easy to fix..
