Pretty sure Geist in it's earlier form as Guru, has been around a lot longer than Ultraloop. Bought Guru in about 2006. They do seem like a good pairing for certain things.

No i meant Ultraloop was inspired by Geist.

Ah! read that backwards then, apologies. What do you think of Ultraloop?

I've only tried the demo but it's a lot of fun, great for coming up with new ideas and fresh inspiration. Great way of working with loops with the sequencers, haven't really come across anything quite like it.
At first i wanted to see if Geist could cover the same ground but after firing it up and dusting it off i'll probably stick to using it for building loops and then loading them into UL to remix, that's why i was mentioning it. UL rocks anyway, one of TTs best plugins to date IMO. There's a few mods for it and it's easy to set up and control as well.

I hope they come up with more expansion packs for UL because the ones they have rock, are cheap, and I’m too lazy to roll my own. And they’re so quickly customizable that nobody is going to go “Ultraloop preset!!”

@beats me that's why i thought to use Geist, well that and i didn't want to just use the factory sounds cause of that issue of saminess but every time i use it i get some fresh sounds out of the same loops but the demo's really short so it's hard to get into it and there's only a limited number of preset.
Anyway, love the simplicity of Geist even with the small GUI. Great way to browse and preview rex loops. Oh yeah there's a free strobe drum expansion and check out Butch Techno Percussion and analog stabs fron fingerpushers.

It is with heavy heart I read of forumties soon to own Geist for much a much reduced outlay. I got it -relatively- cheap but this is insane.
So sad to hear you all can't save stuff while you're waiting. Ha.

Mine arrived. I've been downloading/updating everything for a while. The version on the dvd was from 2010. Next I have to ask if I am eligible to receive the Guru expansion stuff for free since I still have my Guru license.

BFD Remix
[edit] I should clarify that it is not on the dvd. They give you a code to use in your account to make it available to download.

Picked it up for $40 (had a $10 credit) so figured why not.
Don't know much about it and not many videos integrating with Live that I can find.
Does it work well with Push? Are there any posts, tips, templates?
Really want info on how it integrates with Push especially.
thx
