But he had this weird combination of knowing the lingo and some specifics, but not that programs are OS specific and/or Ableton only runs on Windows and OSX (which is a quick google away from being answered).shadx312 wrote: At this point though it's not such a dumb idea to wonder if LIVE
runs on er,phones....if you don't know much about tech.
Someone like that could think 'well if Launchpad runs on iPad...'
I am fully aware its both windows and OSX, I was more aiming at the windows tablets, which is most likely, unlikely android or iOS to be fair. This kinda gives this away that I am aware that its OS specificBut he had this weird combination of knowing the lingo and some specifics, but not that programs are OS specific and/or Ableton only runs on Windows and OSX (which is a quick google away from being answered).
I was more meaning a cut down version, because I am fully aware a full copy of live would kill a tablet. Notice I'm talking about tablets not phones (not much difference admittedly, besides you wouldnt have screen space on a phone, and tbf a tablet screen would be a bit on the small side!my phone supplier dont do windows so cant potentially cut a deal with them there unfortunately.
the question was purely on the random off chance as to whether the extremely unlikly is out there.I'm guessing it would be a no due to resources
The only problem with imagining this as a 'win' for Microsoft is that your criteria has no real point to it. So a person can use Live on a tablet? What advantages are there really when Live doesn't take any advantage OF a tablet concept?8ball wrote:Nah. It would be a war if the iPad could install Ableton Live on it. Then we could compare that with the Windows 8 tablets running Live. But, since that is not possible for the iPad, game over. Microsoft advances to the next level in the Tablet World Cup. Apple goes home.

In comparison to myself I don’t doubt that. I bought a bunch in the past but stopped when I determined at this point it’s nowhere near what you can get out of a full computer. At the very least there needs to be basic MIDI communication between sound generation apps and DAW apps. All we have now is audio sharing. And I’m not one of those “bask in the limitations!” people. I’m sure it will get there but we’re not there yet.
