this is an interesting article on practice, since you brought it up. but really? what am i saying? idk, perceive whatever you want from it, nothing has meaning, only what you give meaning has meaning.

That's something you should ask the bazz players here ;-)
and i can say i dont like kraftwerk, i dont. they sound like robots. thats their whole thing...they want to sound like robots,,,i dont like listenting to robots...and no one can make me like listening to robots, this isnt 1984, and im not in the ministry of truth. i respect their abilities but i dont like listening to their music.
You can say whatever the hell you want, but if you use it as some sort of justification for rich-kids doing shitty music, you will catch flag for it.

The other question is: Why bring 'em up at all?! How are they germane to the point you wanted to make, besides that you don't like them?!
You are aware that stuff you don't like can still be good and from very talented people? Or did you not learn that yet?! :x

I don't like playing wind instruments - I'm rubbish with them. What should I do if I want to have John Coltrane style sounds in my music? 1. I can practice. 2. I can explore what I can do with current instrumental skills. 3. I can say it's not possible for me; the instrument is too weird - I'll do without reedy sustained notes in my music.
You forgot 4.) Sample it, rap over it, make a million 8)

First I thought you were really young, but now it seems you are senile, already forgetting what you wrote just a few posts up...ts, ts, ts....

Which is a good thing though, because it didn't make much sense anyways. You probably just felt the need to tell us about your musical dislikes in a thread about DAWs...

Wish I never made the little quip about Kraftwerk initially. It was meant as a little light-hearted joke.

Anyway, Inversoundzz does have a point though when it comes to which DAW you're using. Way back when I was making stuff using trackers (Modplug mainly), it was damn time-consuming to write anything, and it certainly influenced how I wrote stuff and what emerged. Live changed so much for me, it was, and still is, wonderful.

At the end of the day you can make anything with any DAW/tracker, but some will simply be better suited to some people than others, which will in turn possibly have an effect on the material. This is just logical to me.

DAWS are religions. If one goes into a forum and makes criticisms despite being intellectual and factual, a holy war is declared.
