I just got a “Get $200 off our least popular mixer!” email from NI. :)

It really is difficult to bait people with great deals on unpopular items when you aren’t selling thousands of products. :x

Dammit it! Someone's not getting a Christmas gift. Arturia just sent me an email for: V collection 4/ $199. The waves gold edition is going to be hard to pass up as well....

A lot of connectivity for the price if you're in the market.

@JRR shop you can get an extra 15% off of the Slate stuff that is on sale. So VCC becomes 67 bucks for the next couple of days for example.

Melda Productions have 40% off through sunday this week. They have some unique plug-ins and great pricing to begin with. It would be a good move to at least check out a few of them. I'm looking at some of the dynamic plugins and "mcompare" for auto-leveled reference track listening. Melda has a few bundles too.

I'm looking at the current Waves offerings too. Multiband compressor C-6 at $99 seems most interesting to me. In the Gold bundle the compressors are worth testing. Kramer Tape is on sale a few more hours. If only U-he Satin was on sale too.

Just picked up a: Mxl-990 condenser mic for $60 from GC.

Anyone who has registered products with Arturia, I assume got the $199 deal for the V4 collection until 1/10.

The MPC Ren is on sale for $699, if anyone's been contemplating that.

And of course Ableton 20% off packs: gonna finally cash in on studio bass, and maybe sam projects 2....

Waves NLS Non-Linear Summer is on sale for $99 ($249). I already own this and I'm very happy with this console emulation and what it does with my sound. Try it as a demo!

These are 96 uniquely modeled channels plus master channels from The SSL 4000G belonging to Mark ‘Spike’ Stent, The EMI TG12345 Mk 4 desk owned by Mike Hedges and The Neve 5116 console custom-made for Yoad Nevo. This is summing emulation, not replacement, so you're still using the main Live audio paths and NLS adds unique character to each channel.
I'm using it on my electronic drums and they really turned into something else, more cohesive and heavy.

Make sure you gain stage and send in about -18dBFS RMS into it. Then drive it as hard as you like.

Obviously working OTB with real analog desks is often the best, but I can't afford to work like that, nor have I the room for it.

I never did try the waves, I'm sure it's fabulous though. I went with slate because I'm on a "it's slate and I have an ilok now and must get all the shiny slate products" kick  And because it's awesome and was 66 bucks.
