You said that you will use absolute mode.
I would prefer relative_smooth_two_compliment mode.
It would be great to have that optional.

indeed, absolute mode = 128 steps, relative_smooth_two_compliment mode = 256 steps.

I have two other requests. It would be very helpfull to have four buttons for direct device-bank selecting with led feedback, so that it is visible wich bank is currently selected. Two buttons for previous and next device would be very handy.

adding an option for direct bank selecting instead of having 4 user mappable buttons is great!
