It sounds like an awesome thing. But i am somehow suspicious about m-audio products, having burned my fingers (and wallet) before.

If the good reviews keep coming i might pick one up though.
He hasn't chimed on this thread, but there is a dude who has stated that the trigger finger not having a note-repeater function like the AKAI unit is a negative. I don't necessarily see it that way, but I wanted to make you aware of his dissenting opinion.

The Akai unit does not have a note repeater and there is a way to use the Trigger Finger with the note repeater if you like at my earliar post, its also on the M-Audio website, it does work with Ableton Live and I was told by tech support that it doenst work with all programs.

shite I have the same gear and I am very pleased with it...
I am using a huge DJ bag to fit in all my gear and it works out perfectely for me!

the bag is called primate... and it fits my: behringer bcr2000, triggerfinger, powerbook g4 15", RME multiface, iPod, Headphones, HardDisk, cables and spare cables (and I tshirt if you sweat in concerts ;-)
Its a very light bag, no wood, nor metal... here's a similar one:

MPC series from Akai does have note repeat, MPD doesn't.
