No new browser by the looks of things. Most of the updates are to do with the sampler, which makes sense as the new controller seems to be based around sampling.

Looks like Ableton is trying to muscle in on the the Hip Hop market.

I'm also wondering whether they'll have sorted the VST mapping story or if I'll be forced to get back to work on finishing Ubermap (apologies to anyone who was waiting for updates on that, by the time I got round to thinking about it I thought it was worth seeing what new comes from Ableton before doing any more!)

I just hope they add full access to the browser and some sort of functionality in arrange mode. But by the looks of things, that's not going to happen.

Well if an update to Sampler would come out of this, I'd be delighted.
But Push comes with Intro, no?!
Does that mean they make Sampler part of Intro?

No, the updates are to do with simpler. I assume sampler with have the same improvements.

Makes sense

But I wouldn't count on them improving Sampler as well. Sampler still doesn't have mappable loop controls while Simpler always had them for example.

But here is to hoping for a Looper/Sampler hybrid with time stretch capabilities

tempo synched samples in sampler is a HUGE improvement

grateful for the update to simpler, this is going to be great.

...can't help but express regret that one can't live record into it though. For those of us working with acoustic instruments of musicians, we'll be tethered to the laptop in order to manually drag clips from session view
