Support have responded with some things to test which I will do when I get home this evening.

I’ll update after I try them as to success or not.

The real test is how many tracks of varying types you can run on 10 and 11 before audio drop out occurs. This way it’s not reliant upon a vague notion of CPU % but what the system is actually doing.

The Live 10 Performance Test from this forum is a good benchmark with replicable results across systems and configurations.
Good idea!

Regrettably, I can't run the benchmark because I get a "not found error" when I try to access the help view / lessons. These lessons worked in L10 flawlessly but now it's broken. Reinstalling L11 didn't help either. I'm afraid I'll have to wait for an update. That's the price for an early adaptor...

You need to use the Live 10 version of the file anyway to make sure they are identical. Load the set in 10 then save it, carry out the tests then move to 11 and load the saved test

Supports advice was to uninstall all versions of Live. Go to Username/Library/Application Support and delete the Ableton folder.

Reinstall Live and test.

While not identical, CPU usage appears to be much more similar than before.

I got 80 tracks running in the test project and while both the disk and CPU lights showed overloads I could not hear any drop out.

Sorry Windows users, I don’t know what the equivalent process would be.
