Same - it's all aqua and dope
I've since switched to the Live2 skin, easier on the eyes.
I like the color blue - I wish they had more dark blue if not black type skins
I really like Logics deep blues - hate the program but it looks cool

It would be nice to be able to save a skin on a per-edit basis.

wow..just gave myself the weirdest Headphuck...there's another thread about skins ATM and I replied to it and sent myself crazy trying to find it in this one....
I just checked 5.02 (been using the new beta) and the one I've got on at the moment is "personart25" which just reminded me there is a user around here who already reverse engineereed the skins and made a bunch....He hasnt replied yet so I'll see if I can find and post them
I think his handle is "personart"

I just found something called "disco skins" which I guess is the Disco77 ones, so I chucked that in the folder too...

That's me. I like to tinker.
There are already a few threads on this so I'll keep it short.
I hoped to customize colors but only succeeded in recognizing some tag lines in the code and swapping bits between compatible ask files for versions 1, 4 and 5.
I'd be glad to share what I learned with anyone who wants to keep going. I haven't had the time to continue in the last few months. I'm an artist and this is one of the busiest times of the year for me.
All the skins I've made are freely available from my website:
www.pearsonart.com/pmusic.html
There are also a dozen mp3's posted there. All were made with Live lite 4 and Tracktion 2. The skins are at the bottom of the page.

if ableton spends some time on skinning, a good feature would be the ability to assign a different skin to each set.

I fiddled around with several in Live 4 I think I liked concrete or calcium best, but now that we have Live 5 I really LOVE the default skin!!!
Am I a weirdo or something?

it took me one day to figure out how the colors are assigned. you can customize everything by those little ASK files. a big thanks to angstrom who's tryout skin has guided me the right way and was a good point to start

it's so fucking cool getting everything customized. as a result, i won't post the exact way of doing this here, and i won't answer any requests, because i don't think it's fair to ableton. just saying, that with some work, it's really possible.
i will post some skins the next days i think, when i got time to make some ^^
oh and btw, best thing is you directly write an application do do this, because messing around in hex can be very timeeating.
best regards,
martin
