Too bad BT can't use a laptop running Linux on stage.

Hey, what stands are you guys using for your laptops on stage? Is anyone shock mounting? I gotta buy a stand soon. Not too many options out there.
BT stands for Bacon + Tomato, yes
BT's hair could glaze a thousand doughnuts.

The laptops were just sitting on a table, along with MIDI controllers, DVD player and Pioneer DJM without any shock mounting or anything such like.
In retrospect, the easiest thing we could do is to request the soundguy to lower the volume of the stage monitors. It was a relatively small stage so we don't really need all the volume...oh well, you just have to learn some lessons as you go along.
