They have a suite in one of those big BIG busniess complexes... (its called northpoint) i went up to the third floor and asked the person at the desk at the end of the hall if they had a "marebelle technologies" in suite 300. she corrected me on the pronouncation and said that they did. She was a mac user, so we hada nice little conversation about how crazy the prices were and that it was too good to be true, she was aware of the company and how they did busness. soo... im leaning twords legit at this point. Im throwin down the deposit and gonna see what happens. Hope im not taking one for the team...

-- the address listed on purchaseprogram.com :
Northpoint Center One
1025 Greenwood Boulevard, Suite 300
Lake Mary, Florida 32746

is a "virtual office" !

here is the website for the place

here is a pdf of the place

- suite 300 is the main reception/office for the building, so anyone using that suite number only has a virtual office

Hello, my name is Jason Rutherford
As you can all plainly see I have been on these forums long before any of this Apple Purchse Program bullshit came up, and were you to check around you would see that I am mostly on here for my own personal knowledge and benefit, only really posting to help other "Livers " in need. I am a mac user, but stayed out of that debate (for the most part  ) because of the sheer rediculousness of the topic. Now, however I am forced to take part in a debate that I once again find rediculous and frustrating...

Jordan Hanger is infact my roomate. The insinuations the Joe is somehow "in cahoots" with the Apple Purchase Program are rediculous. The fact is Joe and I saw this thread, and decided to investigate. If we had not happened to notice thier office was right up the street, and begun our investigation into Marbella Technologies on the web, Joe probably would not have purchased a "reservation" on a system from them (whats with www.shitinabox.com anyway?). However after Joe drove up there and talked to the BUILDING secretary, he decided to reserve a slot. As to whether or not thier office is real, or indeed virtual (the building does offer actual offices as well) I do not know. However Joe (Jordan) has never posted any endorsement of the Apple Purchase Program, nor has he encouraged anyone to invest any money into the program. Joe has offered nothing to this forum exept his own experiences dealing with this company. Basically what I am trying to get at here is you all need to stop attacking each other over this bullshit. We will know pretty soon if this is a scam or not, as they informed Joe that they expected the current registration list to fill up this week. If it is, bummer, Joe is out 250$ and the only thing you had to suffer through were all the idiotic posts on this topic. If its real, well... I dunno.

nice post, very articulate, what a room mate. that is all well and good but why is it that Joe went all the way down there and some how missed the fact that it was not a real office, even though he was chatting with the receptionist who seemed to know all about this company, that I might add once again.....was not even there?

no disrepect intended, but Joe expended alot of energy going all the way to the building to ....just talk to some lady who also uses a mac" and he said nothing else. since you seem to do a much better job of talking maybe you can fill us in if you would. :?:

I can almost guarantee that in a few days old "Joe" is gonna reappear all full of praise and wonder, saying "Oh WOW! I actually got my Mac from the PurchaseProgram, just like he said I would, and I saved $1,000!!!! You just GOTTA do this, it REALLY IS LEGIT!!!"

Sheit... It's the oldest con game in the book...

It's called the Bait and Switch (also called a "Confidence Game").... same thing I talked about earlier in this thread, an old Gypsy shell-game trick... One guy "shares your doubts", oh, but he'll take the risk... and he WINS! And he'll keep winning until YOU throw down YOUR money and all of a sudden, hey how come I can't ever win this...?

But check this out: If he's REALLY slick, he'll try to rope the masses in this way: With the first couple of "legit" risk-takers (and poor Joe might be the lucky fall guy), he'll actually invest in a couple of Macs to send to those people... Just so he can get some "he's legit" press from "real" people...

If someone like ME came back (using my real ID here) saying, "hey, I had doubts but it turned out to be legit...", he'd get plenty of takers after that...

But, remember my math earlier? All it takes is 400 people to buy into his "reservation fee" and he walks away with $100,000... what do you think he'd invest to create "confidence" for that kind of haul? The cost of a couple of powerbooks? NO PROBLEM!! He could, in fact, purchase a couple of Macs for the "right" people, using some of the fees he's already collected...

And then he gets the "snowball effect"...

A few people come back "satisfied", while dozens more are kept "waiting for the next round to close".... hose few real people casue a small avalanche of new fees, and the cycle continues...

Eventually, the hue and cry of the waiting UNSATISFIED hordes will grow, and that's when he vanishes.... with potentially hundreds of thousands of $$ in his pocket...

Everything I've seen here... everything I've read... everything I've seen before and know about these things... everything investigated by dozens of people on various forums, all point to one thing:

The "PurchaseProgram" is a sophisticated SCAM.

Don't be fooled into parting with your hard-earned $$....

peace

me. :)

If he has accomplished everything he claims, then why is he trolling for gigs? And his resume has NO details about when/when/how. Red flag.

If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Greed leads to bad decisions...but party on Francis.

And a virtual office is just that...you rent something that looks like a real office by the hour so you can impress clients. Same way a prostitute uses a motel.

That is not to say that everyone that uses a vOffice is a prostitute, but...

Maybe if Ableton sells a site license to these prisons that have computer labs, these thieves will be so engrossed making music that they won't have any time for scams.

Forget Altivec enhancement. I want my tax dollars going to rehabilitate criminals into musicians...
