I agree, time is in short supply at the moment. Fingers crossed that should sort itself out soon-ish though.lummux wrote:I would be up for a meet, but it would be very tricky for me to be available, cos time is a precious commodity, which has to be split fairly between work, travel, wife and band.

Hi folks, just a quick note to let you know that I am playing The Roadhouse tonight, tickets for reduced entry can be found here:

Sorry for short notice, been a bit hectic recently. Anyway, I'll be using Live to trigger loops, and as a sound module, whilst also playing drums, so if you fancy it, come along to see what an idiot I can make of myself.
Cheers!

Hello there,
I'm ralph - just arrived in old trafford -
I've been producing a lot of hip hop - much of it with vocals from Tanzania and other far flung places. I'm into the mobile studio thing - will cart a laptop and bag full of gadgets anywhere in attempts to record some inspiration - ( check out my website www.babkubwa.com or myspace.com/babkubwa for a bit more on that)
- I'm really digging the music from that akora player in piccadilly gardens (often accompanied by a happy African dancer with big sideburns and another chap playing a djembe) , thinking of inviting him over to old trafford to see what I could do to his melodies in some ableton mashup madness.
I've been more into live as a production tool than using live live so far - but keen to get more involved with the performing/jamming aspect.
- Really into a plug in called angstro looper, was into an idea of putting on a open jam night where different instrumentalists play into the angsto plugin and get their sound mixed together and experimented with on the spot - anybody feeling that?

Hiya,
I'm another resident in Manchester, mainly use Live for production (guitar) based stuff. Nice to know there's a few of use round here.

I don't live in Manc but I am just down the road in Lancaster and I am in Manchester quite a bit for DJ gigs (not with live though). I do use ableton in a band in which I also play keys - would like to get more into some live jamming type stuff though.

I'd be up for a meet - live in the city centre. Is anyone up for a meet in a few weeks? Depending on the number of people available, a venue could then be organised.
MacBook / 2GB / 120GB / M-Audio Audiophile FW / X-Session Pro. Looking for a UC16!
