Auditioning loops by just dragging the loop marker...great for my own loops. I just jam along on my TD-8, then drag the loop marker round the best bit. Start marker always stays at the start of the loop...genius!

I like it for the fact that I can write music and not have to worry about 23978 little configurations and key combinations just to pound out what's in my brain. Electronic music is part creative and part scientific. With Live, I feel that it's leaning more on the creative side.
That is a good thing.

But if we're talking nitty-gritty features in Live, I'd have to say the warping wins.

you know, i never understood the fish & chips thing. well, just the fish part, i guess. americans just don't eat that much fish. is that fried, too, or just breaded? either way, that's pretty gross. the fries look good, though.

huh? Americans don't eat that much fish?

I guess if I lived in a land locked part of the US I wouldn't dare touch fish but from where I sit - the Salmon fresh out the water (or from the Pike Place Market) is second to none

everyone I know eats fish

i used to live in boston, other than clams and oysters, i don't know anyone who was too crazy about fish. if americans ate tons of fish, mcdonalds wouldn't have 10 different kinds of hamburgers and there would be a long john silvers on every corner. i can think of one lohn john silvers, it's like an hour away, and it sucks.

pulsoc wrote:HYoly jesus I just looked up LiveSets and discovered I didn't have to go open each "set", drag and drop the clips I wanted back into the browser, and do the same for each set I wanted materials from. Instead I could have, well, used Livesets.

That is my new favorite feature.
Whoa whoa whoa player - you're telling me all the unfinished "Livestes" are sitting somewhere on my hard other than the folder I have designated for the saved stuff - so I can go and grab this and that and that and this?

Wait if this is true the sun just got a little bit brighter and the sky just got a little bit bluer

shoot me a PM or whatever - wait, it's in the manual right?

tight

everyday it's like - I know everything, wait, no I don't

I feel like Cartman did when he transported himself back in time to 1776

he sang this song

"Look at me, I'm back in time, in 1776.
With gaslight corners, cobblestone streets, and humble houses made of bricks.
What a special magic time, and it's all alive for me
I'm so glad Stan and Kyle aren't here. I hate those guys, seriously.
Seriuosly hate those guys. Hate Stan and Kyle. "
Just look up "Livesets" under the sets section in the manual and prepare to weep tears of joy.
