Yeah. Shame on them. No CC recording in session.... Wtf?
Oh wait.. What were we talking about again?

Change log from Live 6.0.10 to 6.0.11

- Added a button so people can edit their samples without having to go thru our buggy file manager

Saves a few mouseclicks. (or pen taps!)

hoffman2k,

Honestly the Wacom support thing is a bit different. It's an interface that a LOT of people use who also do graphic work. It's not simply a "gimme more power in" Live request. It's more akin Live being nearly unusable with Microsoft or Logitech keyboards.

Though I do sympathize with your point about the futility and petulance of flooding Ableton with emails.

How is it different from asking for better custom mapping and custom shortcuts?

It both results in people not having to use the mouse.
I was just commenting on "the plans" you had to raise awareness..
Not on the feature itself.

Anyway, i'm not opposed to this feature. Far from it. I just don't see that this is any more important then the hundreds of other requests that all boil down to "not having to use the mouse" in Live.
"Ableton should be ashamed"
"Lets spam them"
Doesn't sound too constructive to me.

So are you trolling our wishlist just to tell us to give up? Come on. I and others obviously use Wacom tablets and this problem has been noted for a long time. We're just trying to keep the flame (no pun intended) alive.

Yes, spamming is the 21st century equivalent of the children's crusade. Well, vaguely but you get my point.

No need for the sarcasm.

Nah, i guess you have to read other peoples posts in this thread to see what i'm getting at.

Well fuck then! Rock on! 8)

I'm sure you'll be please as punch too once you notice this has been finally remedied.

I believe hoffman2k is talking about this:

Repetitive strain injury

Something you get from spending way too much time with mouse and keyboard (for example)

According to Wacom every well developed program should work with the tablet or a touch screen with pen support (PL models) because basically it replaces the mouse. Ableton starts trippin immediately.. :? This is probably because the Ableton crew didnt follow the "common rules" of the OS it is written for.

.. But I have no idea really .. Ableton Live 6 with a Wacom PL-521 (for only 1000 euros) would have been cool :( REALLY cool

The new Sonar 7 MIDI editing features are very impressive. Link this with the PL-521 and its heaven on earth

wacom/tablet support would diversify the hand posturing. So would better macros abilities.

Live 7- ergonomically creative

errhh.. I mean Live7.5 :?

Nope. Looks like it is going to be another year without. I think Ableton is the only app I own that I can not use my tablet with.

Oh well, at least it supports mice.

well seeing as it's still in beta-form, maybe if we SHOUT REALLY LOUDLY we can convince the Abes to do this for the final release of live 7. (ok I can dream can't I?)
