"Whattaya lookin' at? You're all a bunch of fucking assholes. You know why? 'Cause you don't have the guts to be what you wanna be. You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fucking fingers, and say "that's the bad guy." So, what dat make you? Good? You're not good; you just know how to hide. Howda lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth--even when I lie. So say goodnight to the bad guy. Come on; the last time you gonna see a bad guy like this, let me tell ya. Come on, make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through; you better get outta his way!"

funny thing is, if you all really think bush is as bad as you claim, you'd be morally bound to do far more than just whine on the chat board or perhaps occasionally attend a rally in hopes of meeting some attractive fellow protesters. so what are you doing about this crisis? and if the answer is not much, why not? could it be that you don't really expect bush supporters to kick down your door and throw you in jail or otherwise silence you? or you don't really expect that bush will continue in power post the end of his lawful term, becoming beloved dictator for life?

Correct Hoffman. Superflat that,s why its so hard to counteract whats happening the people who really pull the strings hide in the shadows. Its hard to know what exactly to do hear its not a science. But Charlie chaplin did amazing work in the 30,s and 40,s with his films like the "Great Dictator" which mocked hitler at that time. i remain open a willing to follow my instinct,shoffman2k wrote:Another funny thing is...
Most people seem to think that bush is high up the foodchain.
In reality he's just a puppet.
Remember, "god" put him in office
But this is not a game in order to remain aware you have to keep light and stay balanced- if nothing else to keep your wits about you. Something totally unexpected will turn the situation in time - but who knows when or exactly what.
its part of the universe dark and light - ying and yang - the dark seems to be tryinbg to gain the the ascendancy .

so, to parse what you're saying, you're not really doing anything? the point being, if faced with a threat on the level of a stalin or a hitler, wouldn't you take up arms or otherwise take forceful action to prevent the slaughter of you and your family, the continued deprivation of the environment, whatever? keeping your eyes and ears open doesn't really help much does it?
I'm with Jamief on this one.
The people are ripe for a revolution. But nobody has a clue of where to strike.
I thought McCain was going to turn this thing around. I mean he was a POW for 5 years. He cant possibly agree with guantanamo bay.
But the last months it just looks like he's been sucked in by the bush party. Appearing by his side like a lapdog....
I'll never claim to understand how it all works.
There's one thing i know as a fact though.
America has become one giant reality tv show.
I don't need a degree in psychology to see what is happening.
All that terror alert stuff and dozens upon dozens of useless reports about airport security.
And don't get me started on the obvious distractions....
Gay marriage... how convenient.
Seperation of state and church... now there's a joke...
The money is christian. (or satanic if you dig deeper)
Nope, we wont change the world by chatting away here.
But it's always nice to see that I'm not nuts

Depends on how you think about it superflat. Forecefull action is not always the way to get what your after. For me you gotta think bigger than that . Its obvious any forcefull rebelion would be crushed and for one who would you target it at the Townhall ? The police ? The baker ?dj superflat wrote:so, to parse what you're saying, you're not really doing anything? the point being, if faced with a threat on the level of a stalin or a hitler, wouldn't you take up arms or otherwise take forceful action to prevent the slaughter of you and your family, the continued deprivation of the environment, whatever? keeping your eyes and ears open doesn't really help much does it?
Seriously though a battle for hearts and minds is underway and it can only be won if you are complicit in the undertaking of the wishes of those who would incarcarate your freedoms and have you enslave your Brothers and sisters.
oh and for my money its been planned for a very very long time
keeping your eyes and ears open is really what its all about

But i,m very happy of my awarenes now
in the lead up to the Iraq war I was feeling very deflated, but my mum went to what turned out to be the largest march and rally in British history. She came back feeling positive and empowered, but all I could see on the telly from home was on the news they were talking about this huge march and how the rally in hyde park at the end of the march could have numbered 2 million people and then there's Tony Blair standing there saying loosely translated "we dont care how many march, we're doing it anyway"dj superflat wrote:funny thing is, if you all really think bush is as bad as you claim, you'd be morally bound to do far more than just whine on the chat board or perhaps occasionally attend a rally in hopes of meeting some attractive fellow protesters. so what are you doing about this crisis? and if the answer is not much, why not? could it be that you don't really expect bush supporters to kick down your door and throw you in jail or otherwise silence you? or you don't really expect that bush will continue in power post the end of his lawful term, becoming beloved dictator for life?
like Jamief and H2k said though - forceful response is not always the way anyway and who do you strike? this guy?: http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/0124/p01s02-uspo.html
Besides, I dont think people are so much worried about Bush's people smashing your door down as much as sending the whole world into war - and as we've seen in the past governments are quite capable of doing that regardless of what the people think, and now it seems a President can even get in without winning the popular vote, so you can understand why the view from the bottom is a little bleak.
I agree, talking about it here might not help - in fact I've been bowing out of alot of the political discussios lately, but sometimes it just makes you feel a little better to know you're not alone.
