for when i started listening to house it was the old cajual records that did it for me. cajmere, dajae, boo williams, spencer kincey and on and on. i was converted to house when i moved back to chicago in the early nineties, what ever derrick carter, mark farina, diz, traxx and the rest were playing made the conversion happen and those tracks were all classics to me.

cajmere - brighter days...'member that one?! nice tune
dajae - day by day - ron trent and chez damier mixes were clas!

one of the worst things i did was sell magic juan a copy of the GU EP for about 30$, its soooooo limited, and it meant he had every record in the cajual catalgue, didnt realise just how limited it was till later, very rare white lable, worst vinyl sell i did make... i live and learn...

as far as house i loved all the dj pierre wild pitch stuff, was heavily into pierre in those days and still his mixes are incredible! amazing hypnotic very druggy sexy house, A+ the man is a master!

one fave i will say for the moment would be -

DJ Camacho - Renegade (Sumo) dance trax version

you can listen on this mix... 30.45 in...

Pal Joey init?
But top has got to be Inner City - Big Fun/Good Life
I completely agree. Both get massive reactions when played here (Manchester UK).

Couldn't agree more, Guerilla was a great label in those days.

Here's another brutal all time house anthem:

Radical Rob - Monkeywah (from the famous classic house label R&S Records)

I was going through my records last night, ok very early this morning and found what I would have to say is number one on my list.

Voices in my mind - masters at work. That tracks has so much feeling it sometimes overwhelms me when I play it.

A lot of good soulful & jacking stuff mentioned already. These are my fave classic acid house tunes:

Chales B - Lack of Love
Bam Bam - Where's Your Child
Paul Rutherford - Get Real
Adonis - The Poke
Bam Bam - Give it to Me
Baby Ford - Oochy Koochy
Jolly Roger - Acid Man
Tyree - Acid Over
Fast Eddie - Acid Thunder
Adonis - No Way Back
Phuture - Acid Tracks
Mike Dunn - Magic Feet
Endless Pokers - The Poke
Sleazy D - I've Lost Control
Armando - Land of Confusion
DJ Pierre - Fantasy Girl
DJ Pierre - Dream Girl
Kevin Saunderson - Groove That Won't Stop

Aside from the acid stuff, one of my favourite old house tunes, that doesn't often get mentioned is ESP - It's You.

Someone listed some labels earlier without mentioning DJ International 8O

Also, not mentioned yet is the first house record - Jesse Saunders' "On and On".

It's difficult to say what my favourite is but off the top of my head, Raven Maize's "Together Forever" jumps out. Quality tune. 8)
