the $999.00 ones are like 1.83 Ghz vs. like 2.4. There's going to be a difference.

I checked his signature out to see if it could cause an epileptic fit at this website http://www.webaccessibile.org/test/check.aspx - yes it can! lol, infact If I understand the results given I think its somehow prohibited and a website's host can be held responsible for causing an epileptic fit if it hosts images which flicker as much as that.....check it out for yourself, I may have misunderstood the results

Hi, I'm a Mac-user. I tried first to work with Windows but I think I am to stupid for this system. In 30 minutes I managed to distroy it so the whole thing had to be reinstalled.
I use Mac's because I can handle them, I don't think they are better computers...Who wants to be creative can be creative in endless ways, you don't need a computer for that. Most people who have incredible computers and masses of controllers and stuff make still terrible music.

Hey, I thought I would log in and clarify that this cat only had the best intentions with this thread. He's also a bright individual.

If it was up to me I would have clairified that there is a pressure for us young, sensitive creative types to get macs, especially since the industry has a certain attitude toward them much like protools, and that it it is really fine to get by with a few upgrades to a PC still, these days.

It's fair to point these sorts of things out.

With regards to wanting attention, anyone who is concerned with this being an issue just fed it (an epiileptic Zebra).

One of the most impressive performers of this whole pseudo electonic/mashup biz is Girltalk (pitchfork LOVE's this guy, and so do I) and he's busting the Phat DELL onstage with Cooledit (from what I here).

Macs are great, and getting much better by the week it seems.

but the guy had a point. Articles and posts have been coming out saying that MACS are becoming cost competetive to PCs. While that is very true in a sense, the flexible, DIY and modular nature of PC's makes them still far cheaper in a real world sense for many people.

if you are a rogue with a tight budget, you can make a much faster, more customizable machine with windows.

and if you are desperate and determined rogue, you can have practically every piece of software your heart desires including the Ableton Live and Windows XP for free. that is reality.
