not so. now that so much of everything that is published is only done so online, vast swathes of recent history will be deleted with the click of a mouse or the corruption of a net server in future. In 2100 archaeologists won't be able to recreate a webpage from 100 years before; and I doubt google will be caching blogs.Pasha wrote: One thing for sure, your music your blogs will survive you,

Erm... isn't your whole post moaning about negativity?the last one wrote: People who moan with negativity should be taken out and shot.
"about" not "with".robin wrote:Erm... isn't your whole post moaning about negativity?the last one wrote: People who moan with negativity should be taken out and shot.
I partially agree with you. However I do think moaning about what people have revealed on here still constitutes negativity.the last one wrote:

if you do feel shit, don't try to rub it off on others so as they feel shit too.
Well I could chime in with my own bag of troubles ... but then I'd be breaking cosmic rule number one.robin wrote:I partially agree with you. However I do think moaning about what people have revealed on here still constitutes negativity.the last one wrote:

You already did. You came on a thread where someone was asking for sympathy, and told them to STFU put on a happy face! Good job of spreading negativity.the last one wrote:Well I could chime in with my own bag of troubles ... but then I'd be breaking cosmic rule number one.
Ummm, maybe it seems dumb to you because you are interpreting it literally. If you understood the hyperbole, you would get it. Basically, he is saying, adversity can be good for people. Come on, man. Sheesh.jb61264 wrote:I'm sorry but that is possibly THE dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say "everyone needs a little cancer...it's good for you???"....I wonder if he said that before or after his wife died of liver cancer, wonder if he thought it was good for his wife to have liver cancer and die from it...yeah, that's good for ya honey...good for me too.digitalex wrote:Well, i think in times like these you should look to the wisdom of george carlin who once said, "Everyone needs a little cancer. I can't think of something more ridiculous than coming on a thread on the internet looking for sympathy, or "feelings". Call the Samaritans or your local priest/rabbi/mullah if you've got issues; find a member of your family, buy a pet, consult the classifieds.Machinesworking wrote: a thread where someone was asking for sympathy, and told them to STFU
Were you and your parents some sort of travelling variety act?Machinesworking wrote:My parents and me would run into hippies
I would rather help someone to laugh a little, than blatantly insult someone for an innocent post. What's funny to me is you seem to exempt yourself from the group of "prize assholes" you categorize most of the people on this forum as. There's always people like you around, no matter where you go for support, ready to get off on criticising and judging someone under the guise of expressing your "opinion". Who the fuck are you to say where's right to post what's on your mind? I would like to see you call anyone on here a "moronic fruitcake" to their face. It's nice hiding behind a computer, isn't it?the last one wrote:I can't think of something more ridiculous than coming on a thread on the internet looking for sympathy, or "feelings". Otherwise, you are a moronic fruitcake to be relying on this superficial forum for some sort of emotional support. Most of the people on this forum are prize assholes, obsessed with wanting to be a DJ. Hardly a rich field of intelligence or emotional depth. It is cringeworthy that there are those like Machineswanking who proclaim this reaching out for sympathy to be a beautiful thing. More likely it is fakery, or worse still, it is someone with health problems who are compounding their ill health by spending all their time looking for emotional support on anonymous internet forums. Yuck.
In addition to that vast majority, there are then certain grandfatherly types who insist on patronising those on this forum with their wise words, moral high ground and calming wisdom ...
If I got problems, I shout at my TV.

My aunt died lask week of a brain tumour, came totally out of the blue, she went into a coma and never recovered.
I have also lost about 8 friends in as many years thru drug related deaths(mainly suicide), none of them were above 28.
I have long since believed that music holds a special power that enables us to focus on all that is good and true in life(and the afterlife).
I am not religious and dont believe in God, but I believe in spiritual energy and I am sure that music is the doorway to inner peace.
I wish you luck and happiness for the rest of your days my friend, may they be fruitful and above all musical!
