More complex DAW features overall. Its about time Live matured.
IMO, Ableton need to stop being stubborn about "keeping the vision" because there are enough power users now who are more than willing to sacrifice simplicity for POWER.

Think about it Abes. Please.

by adding this feature it means live wil be the same as other daws and we cant have that. live must be different in every function even it means multiple clicking. I think it should be there but should be implemented in a different way from other daws. it doesnt have to be better just different because thats whats important here. Maybe we could access it from multiple key commands tied to the browser so that each lane of automation can be shown verticallly in the browser. That would be very different and quite akward to use.

I was thinking about this issue the other day..

How would this be implemented?
There aren't that much methods actually..

Are they going to let us create as much lanes as we want or is it going to be a limited amount of lanes?

Anyway..
I had this idea where you could see 2 automation parameters in 1 view..

Let's say you first select a parameter; lane 1,
then you select a 2nd parameter; lane 2..

Lane 1 will now be visible as a shaded ghost lane behind lane 2..
Every following parameter you select becomes the front lane..

not a total solution, just a small idea that could be part of something..

Wow. For real? THAT'S what's important here? Certainly not for me! I want a tool that's BETTER and FASTER, so that it allows ME to create and be different.

We are "different" because we use Live? Seriously, Live is a serial-produced app. How can it make us different, if we all are in company of hundreds of users already?

I couldn't care less if the app was different if it wasn't better! I want fewer clicks, better implementations, better workflow. Different? That I can bring in myself, not leave it to my DAW!
