If you are happy about your PC environment there is no reason to switch. If you are unhappy, then switching is a good idea.

Presuming you will be more happy if you switch... That is the essence of the issue though.

You're all a bunch of pansies...take a stand for crying out loud!

You've all seen the ads...I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC...I'll take the porky fat dude over the "cool" dude any day.

Here it is: PCs are better.

What are you talking about - you obviously have not witnessed macbook power.

I run a Macbook Pro, with windows & Mac osx on it.

Apple make better computers than Dell, HP, Fujitsu Siemens, Compaq, Toshiba, etc, etc.

Apple computers are designed for this use.

Go with a mac and then deside what option, platform, whatever you want to take.

Your options are wide open with a macbook / macbook pro.

plus the macbook pro has a backlit keyboard, 5 hours battery, firewire 800, dual layer DVD RW, 1400 x 900 widescreen monitor, and a magnet power port.

dont get these kind of specs with a PC laptop.

Is this a serious question? Everyone knows computers suck and a reel to reel is the best way to record....
no prevailing genre of music:

You see - this is clear reason why PCs are better: Cult of Mac people have no sense of humor and actually take us seriously... Don't become a pansy!

Oh man, now that's just hittin' below the belt.

So to the original poster...yet another reason not to get a Mac: You'll turn into a pansy brit. You might as well change your name to Hugh Grant.

Dudes, you're all taking advice from a brit pansy named hugh who watches big brother.

Do I need to say any more here? I mean come on!!! Clearly the PC is the better machine.

I rest my case.

Yes, dont listen to me, I love america and americans.

I hate macs and PC's are clearly the better option - because you cannot easily run OSX on them, and they are made of good sturdy plastic instead of cheap aluminium, and who want widescreen any way.

Trust me - my name is Hugh

PC's are the way forward.
