It's shown on this page under "what's new in Live 7".

If it's not a bezier curve, it's certainly an improvement. What is it?
Guess thtat must be a screenshot from Operator! If Ableton implemented bezier curves it must be in the beta right now..
no.. only on Sampler.. and its not a real bezier curve..
This is what I tryin to say. It is not a bezier curve and it is 100percent not from atomation. Sadly.

Hey at least it's a curve. I'm sure as hell crossing my fingers that there will be some kind of curves in the final version.

And all buyers from Live 7 will than be beta testers? ;)
I don't think so.

well at least someone has written some curve code, its a start.

tbh i'll take anything i can get, quadratic, cubic..anything as long as its a curve and i can tweak it.

Well, the shown picture is a typical automation curve as used in Logic, EnergyXT, etc...
nothing unusual with it. And yes, these curves partly behave like bezier
ones. In short: this image shows exactly what we need.
Btw, what makes you so sure that it is NOT an automation curve? The black
background? I am pretty sure it is one, the question is where it is actually used...

Explanation: The curve is placed between two points and has some kind of
pivot on its way, which can be freely moved in the area between the two
points. Normally it can be used as the curves extreme, or as its
turning point. The steepness of the curve can be adjusted by simply moving
this point around and by putting it closer to its border points... what else
could you ever want!? ;)

I can tell you for sure right now that this image is not an automation curve.
The automation curves are as non-curvy as they were in previous versions of Live.
I don;t think curves on automation will be in L7, it's a big thing to bring in and they couldn't really do it this late.

Id be happy if they intruduced that kind of curve into automations, it doesnt stricly have to be bezier curves, but just some kind of curve made of 3 points will do.
Get that bit of code out of sampler and into automation curves !

Ok, so if you can tell for sure it is not an automation curve but an envelope
within the sampler, I believe, but it makes me feel sad :(.

Yep... if you look on the features page for Live 7 that small screen snippet is next to the section for sampler.....
You think you're dissapointed, I have been waiting for this update specifically because I was certain they would have curves this time, talk about being utterly deflated.
All I can say is Analog better be ALOT better than any of the other of millions of analog VSTs etc out there....

I'm guessing it must be very hard to implement and they're having problems doing it. I would love to have it soon though.
