personally I think dvd's were a terrible invention. half the time I buy a dvd it doesn't play right a month later. I never had a vhs skip on me or just stop playing.

i dont think i would have been able to isolate the frame of jessica alba's nip in "into the blue" as clearly on a VHS machine tho. only could have happened on DVD.
but yes, they can be frustrating. sooo many things more frustrating tho.

a xone 3d you have to get repaired twice and are now waiting on for it's return from a third trip to the repair shop.

the dvd and cd are terrible inventions.. they are bulky and prone to scratches..
i would have really liked to see the mini disc take off..

yes, i've held onto my minidisc stuff for that reason. and cuz portable digi recorders are still too expensive.

i see them as more of a fashion statement (like blue tooth head sets) than a media player
